 New York is America's most vibrant and energetic city offering the Ultimate City Break. Whatever your interests New York will leave you thirsting for more.
At the very heart of Manhattan sits Midtown, home to bustling Times square where nightlife is plentiful, the "must see" Empire State Building and Theatre District for all your famous Broadway shows. This is quite simply the most bustling, exciting place I have ever been, with a great choice of bars, restaurants and entertainment.
With so much to do, I enjoyed one of the full day City Tours on offer, which included a ferry trip to view the Skyline and Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, United Nations, Upper East side home to the rich and famous, Central Park and the Empire State - a great trip and easy way to see New York.
New York's shopping is renowned, visit Fifth Avenue for your designer shopping and you simply can't miss Bloomingdales, Sak's and Macy's. For you shopaholics - you must visit Woodbury Common - a designer outlet village about a hour from the city - there are over 200 shops, all offering unbelievable savings. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle head up to upper east/west side and enjoy a relaxing stroll through the "City's garden". Central Park was one of my highlights, I loved the atmosphere and enjoyed listening to buskers and sax players as I strolled through the park.
I stayed in the Affinia Manhattan on 7th Avenue, overlooking Madison Square Gardens (home to the New York Yankees and New York Rangers), the hotel is in a
prime location on Fashion avenue, only a 5 minute walk to Times Square and the Empire State Building. Other hotels I would recommend are the Marriot Marquee and Millennium both in Times Square.
